We swapped one of our all-time favourite Caravan & Motorhome Club sites for something totally new — and it turned out to be one of our best decisions this year. In this episode, we take you along to Low Hedgeley Caravan Park near Powburn in Northumberland, a peaceful little spot tucked away just two minutes from River Breamish. With only 6 gravel hard standing pitches, grass pitches with electric, and two beautiful camping fields, it’s a quiet countryside escape ideal for anyone looking to unwind. ➡️ At just £25 per night for a fully serviced pitch (yes — electric hook-up, fresh water and grey waste drainage included!), and £2 for our travel buddy Murphy, we paid only £54 for the entire weekend in June. No booking hassle either — the whole process was smooth, self-check-in was simple, and pitch info was sent ahead by email.
Here’s what you’ll find on site:
▶️ Easy online booking
📧 Pitch number emailed before arrival
🚐 Spacious pitches with amazing views
🚽 Waste & chemical disposal
🚻 Toilet
🛒 Honesty farm shop with local produce
🐕 Dog-friendly
🚶♂️ Walks to River Breamish & Powburn village
In this video, we give you a full site tour and show why Low Hedgeley might be a serious alternative to the big club sites. You’ll see the pitch setup, amenities, walking routes, and why this peaceful countryside retreat might be the perfect hidden gem for your next getaway.
